Iris Koh

Meet your instructor, Iris Koh. She is one of the co-founders of ChorusArt. In the last 20 years of her career as a Music Director, she has worked with singers, musicians, TV station (Okto), schools, churches, companies, charities etc to help them put up performances and high profile events.

In the past 3 years, she co-produced and promoted the Vienna Boys Choir concerts in Singapore and  Bangkok. As a Catholic herself, she started playing the organ for mass at Holy Cross Church since she was 10 years old and has led choirs and conducted workshops for choristers all around Singapore.

She assisted in several church musicals and is currently the Musical Director for the upcoming musical Godspell in September 2019 by the Friar Minors.

Hear it from our students!

I've been learning music with Ms Iris since I was 11 years old. Over the years, I have participated in public performances, student recitals and Ms Iris helped me to prepare for various musical theatre exams in which I score an average of 94/100. This gave me much confidence to audition for theatrical productions at SMU and I was given the lead roles in several of them. I have just finished my Grade 8 Musical Theatre exams and I wish to continue to perform and start teaching some classes under her mentorship.

Athena Maniam   // SMU Law Student.

My vocal journey started with a solo assignment for Vivaldi’s Gloria at the St. Peter and Paul Church. Since then, I’ve journeyed with Iris for more than a year and gained much more confidence and vocal awareness. Her methods focus on voice discovery and allowed me to be a much more versatile singer. I am very happy now applying these methods as a cantor in church and across several community and performance choirs.

To me, teacher Iris, is one of the best vocal trainers in Singapore. She is both attentive and very patient with her students. She sets her training sessions according to the student's specific needs and requirements. I enjoyed and learnt so much from her. Most importantly, she spurs up your interest even further and inspire you to reach further heights. For those who are seriously looking for a fantastic vocalist trainer, I strongly recommend teacher Iris.
